PacketGrabber extends the ability
to troubleshoot enterprise networks by easily gathering trace files
from workstations on remote segments. These trace files can then
automatically be sent via email, ftp, or shared volume to a network
administrator for analysis in EtherPeek, or expert analysis in the
award-winning EtherPeek NX. One license of PacketGrabber is included
with each copy of EtherPeek and EtherPeek NX,
Through AutoCapture Templates
pre-configured by the network administrator, PacketGrabber provides
distributed packet analysis with a minimum of required user
intervention. The AutoCapture Template has the ability to do all the
work, including employing filters, triggering start and stop capture
sessions based on time, applied filters, or number of bytes
captured, and then returning the saved trace file to the network
administrator. PacketGrabber also intelligently detects the network
adapter it should use on the remote computer.
With PacketGrabber, network administrators
can ensure that all of their critical network services, such as
